Power and Pride

Malian, the god of all knowledge, was very a lonely god. He sat up in his kingdom of vast emptiness and realized he was very unsatisfied with what he had. He decided he wanted to create something much bigger than what he had. For 40 days straight Malian concentrated and meditated until he created the beautiful goddess, Alia. Alia became the goddess of love. Malian created this beautiful goddess to be his queen in his empty kingdom.

Soon Alia was heavy with their first baby daughter. When the daughter was born, clouds started to form around them until they had an entire sky kingdom. This signifyed that their daughter was to be the goddess of the sky and air. They decided to name her Cielo.

Malian and Alia were eager to have more children and so not much later Alia was ready to give birth again. First Alia gave birth to a handsome baby boy and much to their surprise a girl came right after. As the twins were born, the land below them grew bigger and bigger below and waves of water came crashing in to create the earth we live on today. They named the boy, Adam, the god of the strong earth. They then named the girl Aqua, the goddess of the free flowing water.

Still unsatisfied, Malaian and Alia still wanted build a bigger empire so yet again Alia was pregnant. She soon gave birth to a stunningly gorgeous baby girl, and when she was born, slowly all life forms began to form on the green earth below them, first grass and flowers of all Variety sprouted up from the ground, next was trees and shrubbery that grew and grew. Once the earth was covered in all imaginable plant life, small animals appeared. It started with ants and other insects, bob cats and foxes and soon enough there was everything from rats to horses roaming the new earth. Then, right before they're very eyes, two humans arrived on the bountiful earth. Malian and Alia were shocked with the amount of power their small daughter was destined to have so they named her Natura, Mother Nature, mother of all life.

Malian and Alia happily ruled over all 4 of their powerful children but both of them were becoming more and more greedy with how much power they wanted so not surprisingly, Alia was yet again pregnant with twins. She gave birth to two baby boys and when they were born it was light and dark all at once, but soon the darkness over powered and put a dark cloud over their kingdom. Malian and Alia didn't think much of it because the cloud vanished in a matter of seconds, they were mostly happy to had gained more power over more of their children. One of the handsome boys was to be the god of light, the god of the heavens, named Luce. The other baby boy wasn't quite like any other child they had had because this boy was the god of darkness, the god of the underworld, named Sombra. Sombra was the first of all their children to not have pure intentions and who was genuinely evil.

Milan and Alia carefully watched over their powerful children and they decided that it would be a good idea to see which of their children could reach their full potential first. Of course Milian and Alia weren't ever going to be ready to give up their crown so they made the prize to the have reward be crowning them as the most powerful of the all the children and one day that child would be heir to the throne.. When they told their children about this competition, everyone of the young gods and Goddesses wanted this title so they got to work immediately.

Cielo trained in her beloved sky kingdom, practicing creating storms and changing the sky all day long. Adam practiced day and night making mountains and cutting out canyons while his twin, Aqua worked hard asking the rivers flow and changing the tides. Natura worked day and night on creating new animals and life forms on earth. Luce spent his time putting light on all the kingdoms. All of these children worked extremely hard, but no one worked quite as hard as sombra, the the evil sibling. Sombra worked on creating darkness and distress as he worked on his evil plans. As all of children got older they also earned more power and they got closer and closer to what they were destined to be.

Soon enough the day came where Milian and Alia were ready to crown the deserving child. First they looked at Cielo and the sky kingdom she had created. Next they looked at Adam and the earth that he had made. After they looked at Aqua and all of the free flowing waters she had worked very hard on. Milian and Alia were very impressed with Natura and all of the life forms that she had made with her own two hands. They were amazed at Luce when they saw all of the light he had created. The last person that Alia and Malian looked at was the youngest of all the children, Sombra.

Sombra had nothing but impure intentions, quite unlike the rest of the children. Sombra had been working by far the hardest of all of the children, but he wasn't doing the same type of work as his other siblings. Sombra had been studying ways that he could overpower the kingdom and finally take his reign as king.

Malian and Alia soon visited Sombra to see what he had been working on but once they got there, instead of sombra showing something to do with his element he immediately put a spell over Milian and Alia. As soon as he put the spell on them they immediately left to crown the best child.

All the children stood around their mother and father anxiously waiting to see who was going to be crowned as the superior god. When Alia and Milian Called up sombra the rest of the children had a confused and jealous look on their face and that was exactly what Sombra was going for.

The next day when Alia and Milan finally woke out of their spell they were confused, but once they realized what had happened, it was too late. Sombra had already came and took them as prisoners in the dark, terrifying underworld. When Sombra returned to the kingdom he put a dark cloud over the entire kingdom. When his siblings came to see what was going on they immediately knew that Sombra had taken over the kingdom. Ciello immediately tried to stop him by taking away his dark cloud with her powers of wind,  but she was no concern to Sombra so he took her as a prisoner in the underworld to join Milian and Alia.

Next, Aqua and Adam joined forces and used their powers of water and earth  to try and overpower their evil brother and save their family, but they were no match for Sombra's far superior powers. Sombra simply overpowered the twins and sent them down to be prisoners in the underworld like the rest of their family.

Natura knew that she had to do something to save her family and she knew she had a better shot than most of her siblings because she was so powerful but as hard as she tried, she was still not strong enough to overpower Sombra and his evil empire. So she was also sent to be a prisoner in the underworld.

Luce, Sombra's twin, knew that he was the only one left and he knew that he had strong powers but he knew he wouldn't be able to overpower his twin, so he had to earn Sombras trust. Instead of fighting with Sombra Luce went and told Sombra that he was on his side that he was here to help him take over the kingdom. Slowly Luce earned Sombras trust and when he knew he had it, Luce knew that it was time to save his family and his kingdom.

One day when Sombra was sitting lazily on his throne barking orders at everyone around the kingdom,  Luce knew this was it. Luce walked in casually and walked up to sombra, using his powers, luce threw his twin brother against the wall. Sombra was simply shocked and before he could scramble to his feet, Luce had already had him pinned to the wall again and with one more powerful push Sombra smashed through the glass wall, falling far, far below where Luce could see. With this, Luce Sombra to the underworld.

Luce rushed down to the dungeon that Sombra had kept his family in and let them free. Luce was welcomed by hugs and surprised, yet relieved familiar faces of his family. they all returned to the kingdom and begun to rebuild what Sombra had so easily destroyed.

A few days later and after a lot of discussing Milian and Alia brought all of their children
together. Mailian announced that he and his queen Alia were still going to crown one of the children as the most powerful and the heir of the throne to  the genuinely deserving child. So without hesitation they placed a shiny gold crown on Luce's head.

Memorable Meal review

A  Dinner on the Ocean

            I drove up to my Grandmas house with my Dad, Step mom, Brother and Sister. The sun was just setting over the ocean, and the sky was a creamy orange. We walked into the familiar house as I was welcomed with cheese and crackers. Now, this wasn't your ordinary cheddar cheese, this was my favorite Triple Creme Brie cheese. Sitting next to the white round cheese was lightly peppered table water crackers and lots of salami. While I was devouring what was in front of me I almost forgot about the amazing dinner that was to come.

          Soon enough I was seated at the table saying grace with the rest of my family, looking out my grandmas window to the beautiful ocean she had a perfect view to. I was lost in thought but Before I knew it a perfectly roasted and seasoned whole duck stuffed with apples and celery, was placed in front of me. Soon after, my step mom placed the steaming Brussels sprouts and cheesy mushroom scalloped potatoes on the table.

I cut into the perfect, medium rare duck and tasted it. The ducks texture was perfect as well as the salty and slightly spicy seasoning. Next I took a large serving of the cheesy mushroom scalloped potatoes and a heap of the lightly seasoned Brussels sprouts. The potatoes were warm and had so many flavors, and the hot Brussels sprouts were seasoned perfectly. 

I somehow finished my huge dinner; barely coming up for air might I add. I thought I was done until my Grandma came out with her famous Chocolate Mousse. She placed the large glass bowl on the table and topped the mousse with some chocolate shavings. I obviously couldn't resist, and took a large serving.

The mousse was decadent, yet light and airy. After I took seconds I realized that in that one dinner I must have gained 10 pounds.

Flowers

          Most flowers remind me of spring. The bright vibrant colors that all explode and bloom when its spring. I love the way that they start from a little seed and later bloom into big beautiful flower. There are tons of varieties of different flowers! There is Daisies, cosmos, daffodils, roses, tulips, snap draggons, sunflowers, morning glorys, sweet peas and the list goes on and on and on!Flowers can decoratethe inside and outside of every space. They only need water, Sunshine and a little but of love. 

Toe-nail polish

I personally really like toenail polish. My poor toes just feel bare without it! It's a shuttle way you can add color to anything you wear. There is millions of colors and brads to chose from. You can easily do it yourself at home or you can get a relaxing foot massage and get professionals to do your toes for you! You can get Many designs and crazy nail art to add something extra ok keep it how it is!

        Right after midnight, on October 29th, I was waiting inside my house when I herd the sound of wet 
boots / in slimy muck. I dismissed the creepy noises and went back to doing my homework. Next I heard a
soft scream in the distance. This time I went into my bedroom and got on my bed and under my covers. Then I herd small footsteps coming from the garden. I pinched myself just in-case. I started to fall asleep just when I remembered I didn't lock the doors. I locked the front door and the back door, and just before I locked the side door I looked out the window / to the garden and my jaw dropped to what seemed like the floor. The garden had something among the cabbages, something big! It looked around 600 pounds! It had big, thick vines wrapping along the fence. I was so shocked, all I could do was stare at the enormous "thing" / in my garden that seemed to be staring straight back at me. It kept making a loud sucking noise and I wondered how no one else in my family herd it. Once the shock was over I turned around and ran back to my room as quick as i could. The next morning, before school I walked into the garden that had left me thinking the night before. I walked past the apple tree, carrots and pumpkins until I reached our "cabbage patch". I looked around and saw only colorful cabbages. I looked and looked until I found something /  under one of the cabbages. It had creamy skin so I picked it up. It was a small little squash! I laughed at myself and carried it back inside my house.

In the end, sadly the Spaniards still didn't believe in the fryers ways. They didn't believe that what they were doing was wrong. That killing the Indianans was not right. The fryer was still a smart man though. He knew that the men would be angry when he said what he said. He also knew that the men weren't stupid enough to kill a man so close to god like himself. So Fryer Montecinto and the Dominicans kept on telling the Spaniards what they were doing was wrong.
      The fryer was right about killing all of the Indians but he had another reason to say those things, and soon his plan unfolded. The Spaniards sent the fryer and Dominicans back to Spain, where all of the people wanted to go in the first place. You see, The fryer and the Dominicans didn't want to stay with the explorers in poverty and seeing all of the people die. They wanted to go back to Spain so, therefore he fooled the Spaniards and the King.

Morning Girl

     I actually liked Morning girl a lot. I definitely got it a lot more once I read the epilogue, it definitely made more sense. I liked how the end left me hanging, I wanted to know more about what happened to the people. I enjoyed reading about the lifestyle that the Tanio people lived, wich is SO different from ours! I liked learning about the culture as well a look into Morning girl and Starboys lives.

     For me I feel connected to both Star boy and Morning girl. With Morning girl i can relate because I am an older sister who has a very outgoing little sister. Being older i do put others in front of me as well. I also care about my image and what I look like a lot as well.  I can be very quiet and i can also be more "mature" at times. But I can also be very crazy, and definitely eat too much and not know when to be quiet. I also love the night a lot more. One thing that I have in common with both of them is that I'm very observant of everything around me.

     Some questions that I had were more things that had to do with the Tanios and Christopher Columbus. Like: What happened to their community and tight bond? Who went and served as slaves? What happened to Morning girl and Star boy?  

Nature name

If I had a Nature name it would probably be something with water, My grandma always called me: Mermaid and Little Fishy. I would choose one of those because they suit me in different ways but they all connect with the fact that I love to be in water! I will go in the ice cold Ocean with no wetsuit and be the first to jump in the lake, I alway am begging to go to rivers and creeks, pools are fun too! There are so many things that can be done in the water! I can water ski, wakeboard and tube in the lake, I surf, boogie board, snorkel, body surf and dive in the ocean, I can float down the rapids, kayak or jump off rocks at the river! there are endless opportunities in the water and thats why I love it!

Personal Space - Clearlake

I step outside and the warm summer breeze hits my face and warms my body. The hot deck burns my feet. I lean over the balcony. I look at the gold sparkling water in front of me. The hot fiery sun hit the lake just right and made it glimmer. The lake was glassy and still, calm and flat, as it is most mornings. I walk down the warm stairs all the way to the dock below. I walk down with one hand on the railing, silently, peacefully. I look at the purple, pink and blue painted morning sky. I keep walking, inhaling the nectarous smell of Clearlake, The sweetness in the air.  I reach the very bottom of the dock, Still silently, sit down and look at the water just begging me to get in. I give up and put my feet in as the water wraps itself around my feet. I sit and listen to the birds chirp, the fish jump and the leaves rustle as the sun rises higher. The air gets warmer and soon the water asks me to get in again. I strip down to my bathing suit and stand on the edge of the dock. I put my hands above my head and spring off the dock. My hands hits the water first then my wrists, arms and head, shoulders, chest, then stomach, thighs, legs and finally feet. I stay under for a few more seconds and swim to the surface of the water gracefully.

In 1928 someone had an idea about a television, and in 1939, almost 75 years ago that dream became a reality. over that period of 75 years we have come all the way to touch screen tablets and touch screen phones and even touch screen computers! We have flatscreen TVs and much much more! Theres tons of brands, like: Apple, Windows, Android, Sony, Toshiba, Visio, blackberry, Samsung, just o name a few. It seems normal to us, growing up with it and all, its funny to image what it would be like without our devices, what was normal not too long ago.  

Social Networking    

It can be an addiction. Theres so much! Theres: Instagram (my favorite), Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Tumblr,  Vine, Ask.Fm ECT! You get to share your words and your pictures with your friends and family! You can keep in contacts with people you don't see much. There are tons of activities and ways to express yourself via internet, but it can easily be abused. There are Cyber bullies and predators, They can hurt you, But not if you don't let them! there are simple ways to make sure that you are safe. You can normally lock your account and only let people you know follow you, and block people that seem suspicious, its that easy.

Claire Margret O'Brien
I don't really know much about my name. I know that there is a St. Claire in the catholic church, but that's pretty much it. My middle, Margret,  is more special to me because it is the name of my Dads Mom and my Mom's Mom. I also know that my last name comes from Ireland, and that O'Brien is a very common name there.

Style
To me, Style is a way to express yourself. Fashion is matching and following all the rules, but style is what you do to the outfit or hair to make it your own! with style you can step out of the box, be weird be crazy! Without style there would be no fashion, because there wouldn't be those people who were bold and stepped out of the lines.

Pink
Pink really is the best color. Its the mix of the fiery red and  bright white. From bright and vibrant hot pink, all the way to clam light pink. Pink can mean may many different things to different people, to some it might mean happy and exuberant and to some it might mean more layed back and relaxed! From neon to light pink can brighten any day!

Sand
Sand is one of my least favorite things ever. Its the small pieces of rock that burns your feet when you run on the beach, it gets stuck in your bathing suit and all in between your toes. It sticks to your body when your wet and seems to appear just everywhere! it stays in your hair even after taking a shower. Its always in my car, It seems to never leave you alone!
